Costa Rica’s Santa Ana’s Rock n Roll and Psycho Bar

The Rock and Roll Bar and Grill in Santa Ana offers several large TV including 10 plasmas and a projection screen with surround sound. It is the perfect place to watch any sports game.

The food is great (I would suggest the Hawaiian shrimp), Hamburgers, steaks, chicken meals and salads etc. Meals range from $2 to $10.  And of course it packs the full punch of a bar. Imported beers, wines, and a well stock bar. A beer cost $2, a well cocktail around $3.  The crowd is a mixture of nationalities. Canadians, Americans, Germans and of course, Costa Ricans all nudge in this very local establishment. One of the bartenders is Russian and the crowd ranges from the 18 to the 60s.

Psycho Bar is Costa Rica number #1 biker bar. It is home to the Los De XIbalba Motorcycle Club – LDX MC was founded on the 1st of June 2005 by a few ex members of other existing Costa Rican motorcycle clubs and a couple of their Harley Davidson riding friends.

The place rocks on a Friday and Saturday night and during the week it does get crowded with business owners.  Inside is a motorcycle repair shop, tattoo parlor, big screen TVs, a sound system that makes your ears rattle, and a full bar that has just about everything you want.

A bit more expensive than the Rock and Roll, expect to pay around $6 for a well drink and $3 for a beer. A sniffner of good brandy will cost you around $15.  Even if the places draws the bikers, it customers are the high-end of Costa Rica. Suited attorneys will do business with developers, real estate agents and store owners. Like the Rock and Roll,  it is considered more local then a tourist trap. Crowd is younger, average age is around 35.

Outside valets will park your car and taxis are always in the lot.
