COSTA RICA SPORTS AND RECREATION
Lets fact the fact, over 50% of the people that come to Costa Rica to vacation spend a major chunk of their time engaging is some type of sporting recreations. Costa Rica one day tours are popular, whether it is water sports like surfing, diving, jet skiing, white water rafting or sports fishing, to the leisure activities of horseback riding, biking, camping, playing golf or tennis, to the more demanding ones of, hiking, jogging and mountain bike riding.
On a 8-day trip to Costa Rica, 2-days were spent sports fishing, a day of white water rafting, the next a canopy trip, and a full day adventure before we left viewing Arenal Volcano and ending the day soaking our tried muscles in the nearby hot springs. View our Blog on Costa Rica Vacations
The country has a large number of national parks and nature preserves that boast a rich array of birds, mammals, reptiles, rain-forest plants.and those shelled creatures, turtles. Approximately 25% of the country's land has been set aside in protected areas, earning Costa Rica a reputation as an environmentally sensitive country and leader in ecological conservation.
